“…I didn’t mean that quite the way it sounded”
Masterful stuff.
Oh, and bmnot. get a life.
bmnot~~~who cares?
poor Calvin, he really misses Hobbes. Maybe Hobbes needs a GPS?
Mom is the one who’s really upset, she’s essentially telling dad, find Hobbes and don’t come back until you do. Really, Bill draws some great celestial bodies and really cool lamps too……..
Saw this!!!

sha his mom sent dad out to do the work. and calvin will wake up in the morning and have hobbes in the bed with him and it will be okay. ( i hope ) find him dad find him.
When I was small, and “really upset” I always got my chocolate ice cream. But Calvin is upset because his best friend is lost. Poor little guy. I think his parents just view Calvin’s relationship with Hobbes as imaginary. It’s more than that.
If i ever lost my stuffed tiger I’d make my dad do that although I’d probably be better at finding him lol. I’m just glad my tiger would be easy to see since hes white, not red.
Hah I love the strip, but can’t wait for the one about Stupendous man. He’s my fav character. Have they already done that one?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
HOBBESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
The reaction of Calvin, Mum and Dad is so realistic. I see my son, my wife and myself in this. Bill has such a great grasp of human nature.
says:
I’m lucky, my dad still does that for me.
Love you dad!
says:
Reminds me of the time my son was about 4 and lost his Dopey (from Snow Wnite and the SEven Dwarfs) puppet. I looked all over the house, and my husband went back down to the grocery store and found him in the parking lot! What a happy little boy! He’s now a Magna bleeep Laude from an Ivy League College! Funny how time flies!!
LOLs! I couldn’t stop laughing! Oh! I love the way the Mother told Father about Calvin’s stuffed tigher lost in the wood. Father thought it was not worth to look and find it. But Mother meant to twist Father’s arm to keep looking for it seriously! Oh, I still couldn’t stop laughing! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaa…… ¡El padre es estúpido! Sheeeshhh!
Anyone else notice the dragon/monsters in the shadows of the woods? How can Hobbes stand up against those??
The moon switches from crescent to full moon. It’s back to a crescent in the next strip. (Things like this are easier to notice in great comics, since one is more likely to look closely at the panels.)
